CHENNAI, India (July 2, 2007) - Residents from India watch as Sailors aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney (DDG 91) man the rails while entering port. Pinckney is the escort for nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to visit India. Nimitz and Carrier Strike group 11 are currently operating in the Pacific and Indian Oceans as part of the U.S. 7th Fleet.
