USS Gridley (DDG 101)

PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 21, 2008) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) flies both its battle flag and the ceremonial ensign as it performs a pass and review with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). The pass and review is an event that was performed so that friends and family from both ships may get an up-close view of the other ships in the battle group. Ronald Reagan was sponsoring 1,200 friends and family members of Sailors embarked for a Tiger Cruise. The Ronald Reagan was on a routine deployment operating in the 3rd Fleet area of responsibility.
