PACIFIC OCEAN (June 6, 2008) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Gridley (DDG 101) passes between the shoreline of the Midway atoll and the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) commemorating the 66th anniversary of the battle of Midway. The Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group was on a routine deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility operating in the western Pacific and Indian oceans.
