ARABIAN SEA (May 22, 2007) - USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) transit through the Gulf of Oman at sunset. The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group was on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of Maritime Operations. Maritime Operations help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts to the regional nations.
