POOLE, England, March 14/PRNewswire/ -- Sunseeker International Limited has agreed outline terms with US-based Luhrs Marine for the purchase of its Legend Yacht manufacturing facilities at Osprey Quay, Portland on the UK's South Coast. The site will be acquired to accommodate Sunseeker International's planned expansion with a licence to use the facilities immediately, and production starting as soon as the purchase is complete.

With demand for Sunseeker motoryachts growing year on year, specifically for the larger models, the need for more waterside production space has been an important issue for Sunseeker. With further investments being made at the company's shipyard headquarters in Poole these new facilities will allow Sunseeker to meet future demand.

Sunseeker's largest model to date, the 37 metre tri-deck yacht, launched at the London International Boat Show in January 2007.

19/02/2007 -- Sunseeker International’s Predator 72 is one of the company's finest motoryachts at this year’s Mumbai Boat Show at Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra East Mumbai, 22 to 25 February 2007 - the first time the British company has exhibited at the event. The world’s largest privately-owned yacht builder and the largest producer of motoryachts over 80 feet is the first European manufacturer to deliver to the Indian market.

Sunseeker Supports Dorset Bike Ride in Aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief

15/05/2006 -- Dorset’s luxury motoryacht manufacturer Sunseeker International is sponsoring the 18th Macmillan Cancer Relief Dorset Bike Ride on Sunday 2 July 2006. The company has contributed £1,000 and has a team of cyclists entered into the event to help raise more funds for the charity. As part of the £600,000 appeal for Dorset, the event aims to raise over £38,000 - last year’s total.According to the event organiser Peter Smith-Nicholls, 100% of the money raised by cyclists goes directly to Macmillan Cancer Relief projects.
