Grand Banks Yachts Announces All-New 55 Eastbay SX

Stylish successor to acclaimed 54SX will debut at fall boat shows.

SEATTLE – February 6, 2007 – Grand Banks today unveiled a new addition to the Company's popular series of Downeast-style yachts, the all-new 55 Eastbay SX. With a completely redesigned and expanded salon, generous two-stateroom layout and luxurious new interiors, the 55SX is a more spacious and stylish successor to the highly-acclaimed 54 Eastbay SX first launched in 2002.

"The 55 Eastbay SX was designed to offer the very best for today's cruising couple," said Neil McCurdy, Vice President of Sales for Grand Banks Yachts. "There were no compromises: more space, more features, top-quality equipment and an incredibly refined, nautical style. The 55SX is bound to turn heads wherever she goes."

This all-new Eastbay expands the opportunity for owners and their guests to cruise in comfort and luxury. Accommodations include two cabins, each featuring a queen berth and en-suite head with separate standing shower. Space on the lengthened helm deck is equally generous, with more seating, a large bar and entertainment center, and a separate raised dinette.

Toledo Beach brings sales and service expertise as GB’s newest dealer

SEATTLE – July 11, 2006 – Grand Banks Yachts, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary, today announced the appointment of Toledo Beach West and Toledo Beach Marina as the company’s new Authorized Dealer for the Great Lakes region.“Toledo Beach brings an outstanding combination of experience, knowledge, passion and professionalism to their operation,” said Neil McCurdy, Vice President of Sales for Grand Banks Yachts. “Grand Banks customers will be well served by the their sales and service teams. We’re very proud to have Toledo Beach join our growing worldwide network of Authorized Dealers.”

Toledo Beach West will manage sales of Grand Banks Yachts through its two offices in Michigan, at Grand Haven and New Buffalo. The company will also represent Grand Banks through its original Toledo Beach Marina location in LaSalle, Michigan. Service support is available on both Lake Erie, at Toledo Beach Marina in LaSalle, and on Lake Michigan, at Grand Isle Marina in Grand Haven.

Grand Banks Yachts Adopts ABYC Standards for Boat Measurement

Changes, effective immediately, begin with three new models

SEATTLE – June 14, 2006 – Grand Banks Yachts today announced the company’s formal adoption of American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) standards for boat measurement – and, subsequently, as the basis for naming new models in Grand Banks’ lineup.As a result, the company will rename three newer models to conform to the ABYC standard, effective immediately. The new Grand Banks 44 Heritage, both EU and CL models, have been renamed retroactively to hull number one; the two boats will now be known as the Grand Banks 47 Heritage, or 47EU and 47CL, respectively. These newer Heritage models have a length overall of 46'8", including the molded-in swim platform.

The company is also renaming the Grand Banks 70 Aleutian CP to become the 72 Aleutian RP. The 72's model designator will also change to RP ( for "Raised Pilothouse"), which better reflects the true style of the yacht.

SEATTLE – April 17, 2006 – As Grand Banks Yachts marks its 50-year anniversary, the company has made several big moves in recent weeks to strengthen its presence in Australia, and its support of Grand Banks owners throughout Oceania. The company recently named Peter Brown as its first sales manager for the region, who emphasized the importance of Australia and New Zealand to Grand Banks: “We are working hard to be sure all boaters in this region will have more access to sales and service organizations commensurate with the high quality of our product.” Part of that commitment, he said, is the appointment of two new authorized service centers in Australia, Noakes and Marine Engineering Consultants.
