Fairline Targa 38 Wins European Powerboat of the Year Award
22/01/2007 [International] (by Nicola Holder) -- Leading luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats Limited has been awarded the prestigious accolade of ‘European Powerboat of the Year’ for the Targa 38. The awards, which were judged by a panel of senior journalists drawn from top yachting magazines, recognise excellence in a range of categories for yachts launched in 2006.
The Fairline Targa 38 won in the 30ft to 40ft category in the face of strong competition from international competitors. The win was announced on the opening day of the Düsseldorf Boat Show and the award was accepted by Bryan Jones, Fairline’s Marketing Manager.

Revolutionary Volvo design in a brand new Fairline model
19/01/2007 [International] (by Nicola Holder) -- Fairline Boats plc has announced they will launch a brand new IPS model, the Targa 44 GRAN TURISMO, this spring. Plans for the new Targa will be available at boot Düsseldorf, which prior to launch has already been met with unprecedented demands from new and existing Fairline owners world-wide.
The new Targa 44 leads the way in technological development, having been exclusively designed to accommodate the new Volvo Penta IPS 500 inboard system. “After extensive testing, we were so impressed with the fuel economy and performance of the Volvo power units that we designed our latest Targa around its specific capabilities,” says Adam Greenwood, Technical Director at Fairline Boats.

Adam continues; “The Volvo IPS system has unique forward facing propellers, and to accommodate these remarkable engines we created a unique hull that has been specifically designed by Bernard Olesinski. When customers get behind the helm of the new Targa 44, they will see just why.”
Fairline Opens New Product Development Facility
31/05/2006 [UK] (by Nicola Holder) -- Oundle based Fairline Boats plc, manufacturers of luxury performance motor yachts, today announced they will officially open a brand new state-of-the-art product development facility ‘Tyson Court’, on Friday 2nd June.
The new 10,000 square foot facility, which will employ modern lean manufacturing techniques, has been created in response to planned corporate growth. The new facility is in addition to the in-house design and development department at the company’s headquarters in Oundle, providing Fairline with a specific product development facility that focuses on the new 40-65 ft models the boat builder is due to launch world-wide during the next two years.
“The new location enables concurrent development of future products to meet the accelerated new boat introduction programmes at Fairline,” says Adam Greenwood, Technical Director at Fairline Boats. “Under one roof we will have integrated 3D design facilities, as well as key manufacturing capabilities that allow us to focus on the creation of new boats and manufacturing techniques. We will also offer meeting and conference facilities on-site.”

“The opening of our second office supports our expansion plans to enhance our presence in South West Mallorca” says Christian France, Sales Director. “We support Fairline owners with sales and warranty servicing from Arenal through to Soller and will continue our expansion during the forthcoming year. We are currently looking for new premises from which to further support the ever-increasing number of Fairline owners.”
The dealership, which also has offices in Puerto Portals, is managed by Christian France, who together with his partner Jimmy Blackburn has over 27 years of boat sales experience. China International Boat Show, 6th-9th April 2006
06/04/2006 [UK, by Nicola Holder] -- Fairline Boats plc, one of Europe’s largest boat builders will once again be attending this year’s China International Boat Show. Now in its 11th year, the show, which takes place from 6th-9th April 2006 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, is a leading regional boat show which benefits from close to 200 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors annually.
This year, Fairline will team up with other leading British brands to strategically represent the £2 billion UK leisure marine industry. Driven by the British Marine Federation (BMF), the exhibitors will benefit from a group guest reception desk, which is situated at stand C50 in the main hall, as well as an evening reception jointly held by the BMF and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA).
