16/05/2007 -- Avon Inflatables, the UK’s leading RIB and inflatables manufacturer and a technical partner for the Gipsy Moth IV project will be joining in the welcome celebrations for the Gipsy Moth IV when she returns to Queen Anne’s Battery Marina, Plymouth on 28th May 2007 – 40 years to the day since Sir Francis Chichester returned from his record breaking voyage.

Avon’s luxurious four-stroke 490 Seasport De Luxe RIB has been selected to meet the Gipsy Moth IV and return the skipper to shore at 1500 hrs to be officially welcomed back by Giles Chichester MEP, son of Sir Francis Chichester, and the Lord Mayor of Plymouth. Avon’s inboard RIB will also be utilised as a spectator vessel for anyone wishing to view Gipsy Moth’s arrival from the water.

04/01/2007 [UK] (by Nicola Holder) -- Avon Inflatables, the UK’s leading RIB and inflatables manufacturer has announced they will debut the brand new Avon Adventure Open 580 and two versions of the eagerly anticipated four-stroke Seasport 320 Jet RIB at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show.

AVON’S TURBOCHARGED JET
Regarded as the pioneer of jet RIBs, Avon’s latest Seasport Jet, the 320 combines product excellence with 21st century technology, making it ‘the’ RIB to own. Available in two versions, the SC DL and SC RIB, the 320 utilises four-stroke technology, boasting a turbocharged 104hp 750cc engine that uses jet propulsion to guarantee reliability and power.

The SC DL is a deluxe version that offers fully upholstered side-by-side seating for the pilot and passenger and comes complete with an aft locker, three cleats, a console with folding steering wheel, and boarding step with integrated navigation lights.

12/02/2007 [UK] (by Becky Hunt) -- BHG Marine Ltd, one of Avon Inflatables’ longest serving dealers, will be showing a large selection of Avon and Bombard RIBs and tenders at this year’s Beaulieu BoatJumble. It is the largest in Europe and will take place on Sunday 29th April, welcoming around 10,500 visitors.

Avon will be located within BoatWorld which is dedicated to new RIBs, motorboats, trailer yachts and equipment; a key part of the very busy BoatJumble scene. Featured within the Avon display will be a selection of Dinghies, Rovers and Adventure Ribs, renowned for their stability, buoyancy and comfort, they are a favourite amongst boaters and sure to be a success at the BoatJumble.

BHG Marine to Exhibit at Sportsboat and RIB Show
