True North Yachts Introduces the New True North 34
Classic New England style, performance and ease of use
February 2007 -- Building on the success of its True North 38 and 33, a fast, affordable, and sensible family cruiser, True North Yachts™ introduces the True North 34. Designed for active cruising couples and families and inspired by the efficient, seaworthy New England lobster boats, the True North 34 makes boating more enjoyable and hassle-free. Tooling for the new vessel began in November of 2006 and the first hull is scheduled to splash in May of 2007.
The True North 34 features the distinctive and elegant lines of New England workboats, a powerful vertical stem, graceful sheer and classic reverse transom. Powered by a single Volvo Penta common rail diesel, the True North 34 provides a shallow draft, dry, fast, sure-footed and comfortable True North day or weekend cruiser. Sporting the same fine entry as the 38, the True North 34 has a knuckle forward above the waterline to provide spray control and to allow additional width for the V-berths. A bow thruster makes close-quarters handling easy and the True Trac tunnel provides a 2’11” shoal draft and protected skeg.
