Relative bearing

Relative bearing: bearing or direction of an object in degrees in relation to the bow of the ship. The bow of the ship is taken as 000 degrees and an imaginary circle is drawn clockwise around the ship; objects are then reported as being along a line of bearing through any degree division of this circle (The Coast Guardsman's Manual).
